In previous OSX, you need to use Automator to help you to change the name file of a group of files.
But in Yoesmite,
you can easily do it by Finder.
1. Highlight all your files.
2. Right-click and select "rename items"
3. A select "format" dropdown to apply a new nomemnclature to the whole list.

Parallels : Change 64GB Default Harddisk when Installing OS X as VM
In Parallels Desktop, do the following :
Easy, right ?
- Create a new virtual machine using "Install Windows or another OS from a DVD or image file", click Continue
- Select Mac OS X, click "Customize settings before installation",
- Set the name and location of the VM, click Continue
- Click Hardware, Hard Disk 1, click the [-] button to remove the hard disk
- Click "Move to Trash"
- Click [+], select Hard Disk, Type: Existing image file, choose file path of the new .hdd file. Or create a new image file
- Select a new image file and resize the file system that you want!
Easy, right ?

iPhone: No Camera was found when connecting to OS X
Problem: When connecting iPhone/iPad to OS X, it prompt a window "No camera was found".
Solution:
- Open "Image Capture" from "utility"
- Connect iOS device to OS X.
- Click the "triangle" in left hand.
- It will expand a pull down manual for choosing default app to open when the iOS device connected.

Create a drop-down list with color - Microsoft Excel in Mac
- On a new worksheet, type the values that you want to appear in your drop-down list. They should be in a single column or row without any blank cells (for easy to use, it is recommended to sort your values).
- Select all of your values, right-click, and then click "Define Name"
- Then it will prompt up a "New Name" window. Type a name for the values of your drop-down list and then click "OK". (No space in the name. )
- Select the cells that you want to have drop-down list.
- Click Data Validation.
- In the settings tab, select "List" from Allow box
- From the source field, type equal sign (=) and immediately followed by the name you defined in step 3.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Highlight the cells you want to have drop-down list.
- Then click "Conditional Formatting" --> New Rule.
- Select "format only cells that contain"
- Edit your condition in the session called "Edit the Rule Description".
- Click "format" button to select your desired color in cell.

Mac Excel (in Microsoft Office) -- increase numbers +1 by dragging
You just need to do the following:
- Highlight a cell
- Move your curse to the lower right hand corner so that the curser will change to a "cross" with dark in colour
- Move the curser down by dragging the cell with "alt/option" key on hold
- Next cell will have a value increased by one from previous value.

Screen Capture with Shadow !? You Don't Like it ?
Using Mac OS X, you can press "command Shift 4" , then you can capture any area of your screen.
But it seems that the default setting make your capture have shadow.
If you don't like it , you can do the following:
Open "terminal"
Enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow -bool true
And then:
killall SystemUIServer
If you want to fall back , you can .....
defaults write com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow -bool false
And then:
killall SystemUIServer

Evernote: Offline Viewing (Offline Notebooks in IOS device)
First you need to pay for Premium account in Evernote.
Offline Notebooks: you can access your notebooks (and all the notes inside) even you don't have Internet connection.

How to ?
- Go to "Notebooks" from the left hand side (green) menu.
- Click "Edit" from the the left hand side menu at the top right corner of the menu.
- Click the "information" icon (a circle with "i") besides the notebooks that you want to have offline viewing
- Slide the button besides "Make Available Offline".
Then you can view all the notes under that notebook even you don't have any Internet connection. But you need to sync once before you can have a offline viewing.
